Camera: Manners 2011
A re-performing of the nine manners of prayer of St Dominic, as featured in the frescos painted by Fra Angelico in the Monastery of San Marco in Florence between 1439 and 1444.
These paintings one in each of the monks’ cells, acted as an instruction manual, in teaching the monks the correct ways of prayer as laid down by St Dominic.
The photographs were performed in real time over the course of one day.
